Alumni Committees

Mentoring
College students often need a mentor to help them prepare for life outside of college. You can serve as a mentor just by email, or by meeting one-on-one with the student to provide advice and counsel on areas such as preparing for a job interview, when to get an internship, what the "real world" of work is like, how to network and where good networking opportunities are, how to balance work and family time, etc.

Alumni Recruitment Desserts/Dinners
Alumni Desserts are a way for BCOE/UCR grads to reach out to high school students to encourage them in their college aspirations, while explaining the benefits of attending UCR. An alum/small group of alumni would host 20-30 high school students in their home, providing dinner/dessert & drinks. If you would be interested in hosting an alumni dessert/dinner in your home, please contact us at alumni@engr.ucr.edu.

Scholarship Selection Committees
The Alumni Association continues to provide merit and financial need-based scholarships to UCR students through its comprehensive scholarship program. For more information on how to become a part of a regional Scholarship Selection Committee, visit alumni.ucr.edu/involved/select.html.
Student Recruitment

TechHorizons Conference and Annual Banquet
Each year BCOE hosts the TechHorizons Conference, an opportunity for faculty, students and representatives from industry to exchange information and explore future collaborations. The event includes BCOE's Annual Awards and Recognition banquet.
