Welcome to the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Riverside!
Since the first graduates received their degrees in Chemical or Environmental Engineering here in 1994, the department has seen tremendous growth and maturation. We are proud of our dynamic faculty who are leading top notch research in a stimulating and congenial atmosphere. Our research programs are well-funded and active in the following five focus areas: Biotechnology, Air and Water Quality Systems Engineering, Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, Energy Systems, and Molecular Modeling. The quality of our research and student education is well recognized by our peers. We look forward to a bright future!
