Biography
Professor Matsumoto joined UCR as Professor of Environmental Engineering in 1994. At UCR, Dr. Matsumoto has served as Chair of the Chemical and Environmental Engineering department from August 1994 through June 2000 and Associate Dean of the College of Engineering from July 1999 through June 2004 and currently. During 2004 and 2005, he was the Interim Dean for the Bourns College of Engineering. He has served on numerous scientific review panels for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences, Department of Defense, and various state agencies in California and New York, concerning remedial strategies for hazardous waste sites.
