Biography
Harry C. Hsieh received the B.S. degree from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison in 1988, the M.S. degree from Stanford University in 1991,
and the Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 2000.
He joined the faculty of University of California - Riverside in 2001.
Since 1993, he has been actively involved as a researcher and teacher in the
area of design technology, especially for VLSI and embedded systems. He has
co-authored two books, three journal papers, and numerous workshop and
conference papers in that area.
During 1991-1993, he was the member of technical staff at Mainline Systems
Lab of Hewlett Packard. In the summer of 1994, he was a research intern at
Magneti Marelli of FIAT in Torino, Italy. He also worked as a post-doc
intern at Cadence Berkeley Laboratories in 2000. He has served as a reviewer
for Design Automation Conference, IEEE Transactions on Computer Aided Design
of Integrated Circuits and Systems, and Journal of Design Automation for
Embedded Systems. He serves on the 2002 program committee for International
Symposium on Hardware/Software Codesign and 2002 program committee for
Design Automation and Test in Europe.
