Vana Kalogeraki Vana Kalogeraki received her Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara in 2000. She was a research scientist at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories in Palo Alto before joining the faculty at UC Riverside, and prior to that was a researcher at the Institute of Computer Science in Greece. She is a member of the Association of Computing Machinery, Object Management Group and HPL Technical Women. She has authored many papers, has co-authored the CORBA Dynamic Scheduling standard, and has been on the technical program committees of many conferences, infcluding ICDCS 2002. She received a Regents' Faculty Fellowship/Faculty Development Award, from UC Riverside in June 2003.
