Biography
Elaine D. Haberer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. She received her Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from UC Santa Barbara in 2005. Prior to joining the faculty at UC Riverside, she was a postdoctoral researcher at UC Santa Barbara where she studied viral-based assembly of inorganic materials, specifically hybrid Au-CdSe nanostructured films for low-cost solar cell applications. Her doctoral thesis focused on the development of a novel semiconductor etching technique for the fabrication of GaN-based microdisk lasers. Her professional affiliations include IEEE, MRS, AIChE SBE, and SWE.
