Biography

Dr. Hamed Mohsenian-Rad received a Ph.D. in ECE from the University of British Columbia - Canada, in 2008, an M.S. degree in EE from Sharif University of Technology - Iran in 2004, and a B.Sc. in EE from Amir-Kabir University of Technology - Iran in 2002. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto in 2009 and 2010. From October 2010 to June 2012 he was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas Tech University. Dr. Mohsenian-Rad's research interests are in the areas of Power Management in Smart Grids, Integration of Renewable Energy Sources, Smart Grid Cyber Security, and Energy and Performance Management in Data Centers. He is a recipient of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Post-doctoral Fellowship and the National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award 2012.
