Biography

Qi Zhu is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining UCR, Zhu was a research scientist at the Strategic CAD Laboratories in Intel from 2008 to 2011, where he worked on system level modeling and exploration methodologies for Intel future SoC products. Zhu received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from University of California, Berkeley in 2008, under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli. Zhu’s doctoral research focused on system level design for embedded systems. His current research interests include embedded systems, cyber-physical systems and computer-aided design for circuits. He received two Best Paper Awards at the IEEE/ACM Design Automation Conference (DAC) 2006 and 2007.
