Biography

Professor Guanshui Xu received his B.S. Degree in Mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1986, and his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Brown University in 1994. He also spent two years as a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined the UCR Faculty in 1998 after three years as a project engineer in the oil service industry.
