The College is home to eight interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research centers : the Center for Bioengineering Research (CBR), the Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT), the Center for Research in Intelligent Systems (CRIS), the Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE), the Center for Ubiquitous Communications by Light (UC-Light), the Winston Chung Global Energy Center (WCGEC), the Southern California Research Initiative for Solar Energy (SC-RISE), and the Center for Phonon Optimized-Engineered Materials (POEM).
