College Priorities
Engineering Building Unit II
Research facilities and their respective resources are some of the strongest incentives the Bourns College of Engineering can offer to prospective faculty as we compete nationally with other engineering schools to bring faculty who are leaders in their fields of research. Your gift toward completion of Engineering Building Unit II will help us recruit world leaders to the already highly recognized faculty in the College and help the College become one of the most significant academic research and technology infrastructures in the nation. BCOE seeks $10 million in private funds to support construction of and equipment for Engineering Building Unit II.
Dean's Fund
To make our vision a reality, there are a myriad of resources that help us to continue on our upward trajectory - resources for student outreach, community collaborations, academic support programs such as tutoring, mentoring, and group study facilitation; professional club activities; support for student travel to professional conferences and much, much more. The Dean's fund is an unrestricted fund established to help the Bourns College of Engineering meet these on-going resource needs.
Scholarships/Fellowships
The vision of the Bourns College of Engineering is to become a nationally recognized leader in engineering research and education. Central to achieving this goal is attracting the best and brightest students who will be hired by some of the most prominent companies and research institutions in the world. Facing an annual cost of more than $20,000 with nearly $10,000 directly related to fees, books and supplies, your scholarship support can have a tremendous impact on students choosing to apply and enroll in BCOE.
Current & Endowed Programs and Endowed Chairs
The hallmark of any engineering school is the quality of its faculty and the innovative research they conduct that often leads to life changing/saving technology. The Bourns College of Engineering invites you to consider making a gift of $50,000 for direct program support of faculty research or $1,000,000 for endowed chairs.
