UCR/China consortium awarded NSF grant

A group led by (l. to r.) associate professor Jianlin Liu (principal investigator) and professor Roger Lake (co-principal investigator), working with a group at Nanjing University in China, is being funded by NSF and China’s NSFC to study the possibility of future nonvolatile memories, one to two orders of magnitude smaller than state-of-the-art flash memory. more

Students come from far, near to do research

Thirty-one students traveled from universities as far away as Princeton University and University of Massachusetts, Amherst and as close as Riverside City College to take part in two NSF-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates programs June 16-August 22. more

Keogh awarded million-dollar grant

Eamonn Keogh, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, is leading a collaborative team that received $1,100,000 from the National Science Foundation to fund research to simplify identification of nematodes, worms that have a huge negative impact on world health and crops. more
