Dr. Kim's research focuses on the design and evaluation of safety-critical, real-time, and cyber-physical systems. Prior to joining UCR, he was a member of the GM-CMU Connected and Autonomous Driving Collaborative Research Lab, where he investigated analytical and systems techniques for the safety and predictability of next-generation automotive systems. Dr. Kim's work has been recognized with a Best Paper Award at the IEEE Real-Time Embedded Technology and Applications Symposium (RTAS) in 2014 and a Best Paper Nomination at the ACM/IEEE International Conference on Cyber-Physical Systems (ICCPS) in 2013. I was a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship Award
