BCOE Freshmen automatically become part of the program from the point of submitting a positive statement of intent to register.  Program highlights include: 

A supportive academic community of freshmen engineers clustered into smaller sections of Math and Science courses designed to facilitate learning and to build relationships.
A Coordinator for Engineering First Year Learning Communities trained to understand the unique needs of students and available to answer all your questions.
Introduction to Engineering courses taught by faculty as well as formal faculty mentoring sessions.
Opportunities to get involved in student clubs, professional organizations, undergraduate research, and summer internships.
A themed residential hall conducive to the academic rigors necessary to achieve continued success in the Bourns College of Engineering.
Advising messages and sessions providing details about upcoming events, opportunities, and requirements.
