About

Nick Yaraghi is a 4th year PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering at UCR and a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) fellow. His research focuses on the study of structure-mechanical property relationships of the impact-resistant stomatopod dactyl club and telson as well as the design and fabrication of novel biomimetic composite materials. Nick received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2013 where he also investigated stimuli-responsive and bio-inspired self-assembly systems.
