J.G.L. -  The BI Laboratory  |  Biospectroscopy & Imaging
Wellcome

Our laboratory is highly interdisciplinary and spans research in disciplines such
as Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Engineering.

GOALS:

1. UNDERSTAND the complex structural and functional assembly of proteins

2. APPLY the knowledge generated to development of novel biomaterials, biotechnology,
rational tissue engineering and diseases.

Proteins are self-assembling biological polymers which play central
role in living organisms.

Our research aims to bridge the gap between the fundamental understanding
of in-vitro proteins assembly/disassembly reactions and detecting different protein states
in-situ and in-vivo by developing quantitative applications of image guided
spectroscopic techniques.
