Thank you for attending last year's Bourns Engineering Day! Look forward to next year!
Contact email@example.com for any questions or concerns.
The Society of Women Engineers at UC Riverside annually hosts Bourns Engineering Day, an entertaining event featuring hands-on fun and activities. UCR annually invites all of UCR including the faculty and staff, the local community, and Girl Scouts to participate in this wonderful opportunity. Girl and Boy Scouts are eligible to earn an event patch and work towards a badge.
Last year's theme was Chemical and Environmental Engineering, and therefore featured a variety of activities to explore these fields for Elementary, Middle, and High School aged participants. Simultaneously, the importance of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) in our everyday lives becomes evident. Every year is a new theme. In the past, we have included subjects such as Nanotechnology, Sustainability, and Space.
Last year's event was made possible through our co-sponsors including Exxon Mobile, Northrop Grumman, the Riverside Astronomical Society, the Bourns Foundation, the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council, the Society of Women Engineers, and the Associated Students of UCR.
