SWE at UCR is a student section of the
Society of Women Engineers
|
|
|
The mission of the Student Section is to:
- Develop programs to enable our members to improve their leadership, time management,
communication and problem solving skills
- Encourage girls and women to study engineering
- Provide women with a sense of belonging in the College,
the University, the community and in the field of engineering
- Demonstrate the value of diversity and teamwork
- Promote the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life

The National Conference is Here!
|

WE09 is finally here! Join us for our National Conference in the Long Beach Convention Center from Thursday, October 15 through Saturday, October 17.
Online registration is now closed, but you may still register on-site.

SWE OC Professional Development Conference
|
|
Join SWE OC for a day of learning at the award-winning annual Professional Development Conference to be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 in Irvine.
Register by April 1 and you will be entered into the early registration gift card drawing! First 15 college students to register are free (you may be asked to show school ID). Fee includes continental breakfast and lunch.

SWE Joins Other BCOE Clubs in Celebrating National Engineers Week Feb 15th-21st
|
|
The National Engineers Week (E-Week) will be celebrated from Feb 15-21, 2009. SWE UCR will host a remote control car obstacle course on Thursday, Feb 19th from 11:30-2:00 PM. We encourage you to volunteer and participate!

SWE-OC (SWE-Orange County) annually awards scholarships to students who attend UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Cal State Long Beach, and Cal State Fullerton. Read more about these scholarships here. Application forms can be downloaded from the links below and are due March 31st.
