Dear BCOE Colleagues:
You will be happy to hear that Bourns B-wing air balancing will begin THIS MONDAY, January 30th and continue until complete. This is a much anticipated step in the renovation project as this is expected to resolve the building’s current (and past) air imbalance issues.
To accomplish this work, Contractor personnel will be accessing overhead supply and return vents in B-wing rooms and using air measuring instruments to quantify and evaluate air supply and return in each space. Workers will do their best to minimize any impact to laboratory personnel.
In the case of instructional labs, Contractors will time their activities to accomplish measurements in the early morning before the day’s activities begin. Class Lab Coordinators have provided me class schedules for currently offered in-building courses. Please let me know if you have a space with activities that may be impacted, and need some consideration in scheduling.
Most building occupants are anxious for completion of this work. Please assist the Contractor in any way you are able. Please also let me know if you have questions or concerns.
