Also during this time there may be occasional, intermittent HVAC (heating and air conditioning), chilled water, industrial water, house vacuum, and electrical shutdowns.
- There will be an HVAC and EXHAUST SHUTDOWN for WEST SIDE of B-wing: December 26th through January 3rd. Hazardous materials work will not be allowable during this time. Also during this time there may be occasional, intermittent HVAC (heating and air conditioning), chilled water, industrial water, house vacuum, and electrical shutdowns.
- Between December 19 – 23 there will result in a 4-5 day shutdown of lab chilled water, industrial cold water, and house vacuum to allow upgrades to the plumbing systems.
PLEASE PLAN YOUR LAB ACTIVITIES ACCORDINGLY AND NOTIFY YOUR RESEARCH TEAMS. Safety during this time is paramount. Holidays tend to be a favorite time to work for persons unable to travel home during the season. Except for activities necessary for maintaining safety, lab work during this time is strongly discouraged.
If you have questions or concerns, please let me know as soon as possible so that any necessary control measures can be put in place in advance of the shutdowns.
There is never a time when research interruptions or building shutdowns are welcome or convenient. Please let me know how best I can help you or if you need assistance planning or preparing for events. Please also let me know if you have questions or concerns. For copies of this and other updates as well as other potentially helpful information, please also visit the Bourns B Renovation web page.
