The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering is now offering a new computing course sequence, called CS 009 Sequence.

Whhile the current CS 010 Sequence teaches students computer coding in C++, this new series teaches Python. Python is the No. 1 most commonly used computer programming language in the sciences and other non-computing industries such as business and social sciences.  

Non-computing and non-BCOE majors from other colleges at UCR are encouraged to enroll in CS009.
