The Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at UC Riverside host a week-long STEM-focused Data Science Summer Camp. The camp introduces high- and middle-school students to emerging Data Science and Artificial Intelligence fields to prepare them for engineering and science college careers and employment.

The camp introduces students to Data Science (DS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) fundamentals. The immersive, custom-designed curriculum includes guided, hands-on lab exercises focused on data extraction, visualization, understanding, and real-world applications. The program will start with essential DS and AI concepts and Python programming introductions, followed by critical applications.

Allowing students to explore Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching at UC Riverside. Summer camps broaden students' knowledge of the far-reaching impacts of engineering and science while helping them narrow their field of study before they even step foot on a university campus.
