Once a Highlander Engineer. Always a Highlander Engineer.
Highlander Engineers are solving problems that shape everyday life, from healthcare and clean energy to computing and advanced research. Across California and around the world, BCOE alumni lead teams, launch companies, mentor students, and stay connected to the college through research and industry partnerships.
What connects them is more than a degree. BCOE students learn by doing, whether that means working in research labs, building senior design projects, or collaborating with faculty and industry professionals. Alumni carry those experiences into their careers and often return to help create those same opportunities for the next generation of Highlander Engineers.
Ways to Get Involved
Mentor
Share your experience through career panels, classroom engagement, networking events, and professional mentorship. Alumni insight helps students better understand the realities of engineering careers and the paths available to them after graduation.
Recruit
Connect with BCOE students and graduates through internships, co-ops, research opportunities, and full-time career opportunities. Many alumni first discovered their own careers through opportunities created by engineers who came before them.
Partner
Collaborate with faculty and students through research initiatives, senior design sponsorships, industry partnerships, and workforce development programs. These partnerships help connect classroom learning with real engineering challenges.
Volunteer
Support student organizations, competitions, and college events as a speaker, advisor, competition judge, or industry resource. Alumni involvement helps strengthen the BCOE community and creates valuable connections for students.
