STEM-Focused AI Enabled Robotics Summer Camp

AI Enabled Robotics Summer Camp

About the Event

The Bourns College of Engineering at UC Riverside hosts a week-long STEM-focused Engineering AI Enabled Robotics Summer Camp from July 6 through July 10, 2026. The camp introduces high-school students to emerging STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields to prepare them for engineering college careers and employment.

Campers will learn the fundamentals of robotic systems, the AI tools that enable them, and the electronic design required to implement them. The immersive, custom-designed curriculum includes guided, hands-on lab exercises focused on the most in-demand areas of engineering, including embedded system design, microcontroller programming, autonomous and manual robot-car navigation, obstacle avoidance, and wireless navigation control with mobile phones.

Allowing students to explore STEM is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching at UCR. Summer camps broaden students' knowledge of the far-reaching impacts of engineering while helping them narrow their field of study before they even set foot on a university campus.

UCR has become the center for Data Science and Robotics education in the Inland Empire, offering well designed majors in these fields. You can find more information about the Data Science Major here and for the Robotics Major here.
